SHM:s grupp skall se till att patientsäkerheten förverkligas
Omsorgsminister Paula Risikko har utnämnt en tjänstemannagrupp, vars uppgift är att tillsammans med Rättskydsscentralen för hälsovården (TEO) och länsstyrelserna kontrollera att patientsäkerheten förverkligas ifall av stridsåtgärder inom hälso- och sjukvården.
Gruppen följer intensivt med om kapaciteten inom hälsovårdens enheter räcker till för att ge omedelbar och tillbörlig vård till patienter som behöver det, utan att patientsäkerheten äventyras.
Social- och hälsovårdsministeriet skickar ännu i dag ut direktiv till social- och hälsovårdssektorerna vid länsstyrelserna, som i sin tur skall ge regelbundna rapporter om läget till ministeriet.
Gruppen leds av biträdande avdelningschef Marja-Liisa Partanen från social- och hälsovårdsministeriets hälsoavdelning. I gruppen finns också representanter från familje- och socialavdelningen som ansvar för de sociala tjänsterna, eftersom många yrkeskunniga inom social- och hälsovården jobbar inom serviceorganisationen för den sociala sektorn, så som ålderdomshem.
”I den här situationen är social- och hälsovårdsministeriets uppgift framförallt att garantera att patientsäkerheten inte äventyras. Jag tycker att det är viktigt att vi förstärker vårt samarbete så att vi kan trygga tillbörlig vård, ifall stridsåtgärderna inom hälsovården förverkligas”, säger minister Risikko.
