Eemil Nuuttila appointed as Special Adviser to Minister Sanni Grahn-Laasonen
Minister of Social Security Sanni Grahn-Laasonen has invited Eemil Nuuttila to serve as her Special Adviser. Nuuttila took up his post as Special Adviser on 10 October 2025.
Nuuttila will be responsible for matters covered by the Department for Safety, Security and Health at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health. The duties of the Department include matters related to alcohol, drug and tobacco policy, pharmaceutical services, environmental healthcare, health protection, and preparedness in the Ministry’s branch of government. He will also be responsible for the Minister's communications and media relations.
Prior to this post, Nuuttila served as Special Adviser to Minister of Climate and the Environment Sari Multala, Minister of Social Security Grahn-Laasonen and Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen. Before that, he worked as Special Adviser to Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Helsinki Daniel Sazonov and as an economic policy specialist at the National Coalition Party’s parliamentary group office.
