Children and young people said that child welfare should increase inclusion, reduce staff turnover and improve the regulation related to restrictive measures.

Services must be equally available to all people, they must be free of charge and function around the clock, and the clients must be able to receive the services anonymously. The new 24-hour telephone service called Nollalinja was opened on 19 December for persons experiencing interpersonal violence and violence against women.

In completing its task, the working group must take account of the conditions set by the Finnish Parliament. The working group’s term is from 21 December 2017 to 31 March 2018.

29.12.2016 | The 24-hour system of health and social services will be reformed. Larger units will be created for the provision of specialised medical care. Some examinations, procedures and treatments will be centralised at the national and regional levels. The aim of the reform is to secure equal access to services, sufficient skills in the units providing care as well as client and patient safety, and to curb cost increases. The aim is also to improve access to urgent care.
