The vaccine is safe for both the mother and the foetus, and it would prevent the majority of severe whooping cough cases in babies under three months of age.

Säädetään Terveyden ja hyvinvoinnin laitoksen tehtäväksi tuottaa ja koota hoidollisen ja taloudellisen arvon arviointeja (HTA-arviointi) lääketieteellisistä ja kuntoutuksen menetelmistä sekä terveydenhuollossa käytettävistä toimenpiteistä sairauksien ehkäisemiseksi, diagnosoimiseksi tai hoitamiseksi.

Sosiaalihuollon ammattihenkilöiden neuvottelukunnan tavoitteena on edistää sosiaalihuollon ammattihenkilöiden osaamisen ja työnjaon kehittymistä sekä sosiaali- ja terveydenhuollon integraation vahvistumista. Neuvottelukunnan tehtävistä on säädetty sosiaalihuollon ammattihenkilölian 31 §:ssä.

Petteri Orpon hallituksen ohjelman mukaisesti sosiaali- ja terveydenhuollon ammattihenkilölainsäädännön kokonaisuudistus toteutetaan osana Hyvän työn ohjelmaa. Uudistus toteutetaan tavalla, jossa ammattioikeuksiin kytketään vain asiakas- ja potilasturvallisuuden kannalta välttämättömät ja oikeasuhtaiset edellytykset.

Palvelureformilla uudistetaan sosiaali- ja terveydenhuollon sisältöjä koskeva lainsäädäntö sekä siihen liittyvä ohjaus vastaamaan nykyisiä sote-rakenteita ja valtakunnallisia sote-tavoitteita. Palvelureformi toteuttaa pääministeri Petteri Orpon hallitusohjelmaa. Valmistelusta vastaa sosiaali- ja terveysministeriö.

Romaniasiain neuvottelukunta (RONK) on perustettu vuonna 1956. Romaniasiain neuvottelukunnan tehtävänä on edistää romaniväestön tasavertaisia yhteiskunnallisia osallistumismahdollisuuksia sekä taloudellisia, sosiaalisia ja sivistyksellisiä elinolosuhteita. Se toimii Suomessa romanien ja viranomaisten välisenä yhteistyö- ja asiantuntijaelimenä.

Eurooppalaista terveystietoaluetta koskeva EU-asetus (EHDS) tuli voimaan 26.3.2025 siirtymäajoin. Asetuksen täytäntöönpano on käynnissä. STM asetti ohjausryhmän EHDS-asetuksen kansallisen toimeenpanon koordinaatiota varten toimikaudelle 20.10.2025-30.4.2027. Ohjausryhmän alaisuuteen on nimetty toimikaudelle 29.10.2025-30.4.2027 kaksi alatyöryhmää.

Työryhmän työskentelyllä suun terveys saatetaan pysyväksi osaksi hoivatyön toimintakulttuuria lisäämällä suun terveyden osaamista hoiva-alan koulutuksessa ja kehittämällä konkreettisia suun terveyden huomioimisen toimintamalleja hoivatyön arkeen.

Toteutetaan pääministeri Petteri Orpon hallitusohjelmakirjaukset, joiden mukaisesti uudistetaan apteekkisääntelyä vastuullisesti ja asteittain turvaten laadukkaat ja turvalliset apteekkipalvelut koko Suomessa.

Provisions will be laid down on the principles according to which the inclusion of services and methods in the range of services and their removal will be implemented in public healthcare and social welfare. The possibility of enacting provisions on a national actor who can make a binding decision on the inclusion of the method in the range of public services will be investigated.

Työryhmä kartoittaa nuorten terveyslukutaidon ja tunnetaitojen tilaa, kokoaa olemassa olevia materiaaleja ja toimintamalleja sekä laatii suunnitelman niiden kehittämisestä ja hyödyntämisestä erityisesti heikosti osaaville nuorille, tavoitteena vahvistaa terveyttä, hyvinvointia ja vähentää eriarvoisuutta.

Selvitys sosiaalihuollon interventioiden arviointi- ja suositustoiminnasta on käynnistynyt syyskuussa 2025. Selvityshankkeessa tuotetaan toiminnan tavoitetilan tunnistus ja kuvaus sekä kuvaus vaihtoehtoisista tiekartoista ehdotetun tavoitetila saavuttamiseksi seuraavan 10 vuoden aikana. Hankkeen loppuraportti julkaistaan kesäkuussa 2026.

Kansallisen terveydenhuollon menetelmien arvioinnin organisoitumismallin kehittäminen on käynnistynyt tammikuussa 2025. Selvityshankkeessa tuotetaan kolme vaihtoehtoista terveydenhuollon menetelmien arviointitoiminnan organisoitumismallia. Selvityshankkeen loppuraportti valmistuu loppuvuodesta 2025.

Hanke jatkaa pitkäjänteistä lääkeasioiden kehittämistä. Tavoitteena on parantaa lääkehoitojen vaikuttavuutta, turvallisuutta ja laatua sekä taloudellisuutta, yhdenvertaisuutta ja saatavuutta. Rakenteellisilla uudistuksilla parannetaan julkisen talouden kestävyyttä, jota tuetaan myös tehostamalla lääkeasioiden tiedonhallintaa ja digitalisaatiota.

Työryhmän tehtävänä on tunnistaa ja arvioida toisiolain ja muun sote-alan tutkimuslainsäädännön nykytilaan liittyviä ongelmakohtia sekä koota asiantuntemukseen perustuvia toimenpide-ehdotuksia tunnistettujen ongelmakohtien korjaamiseksi.
