Se on noin 475 miljoonaa euroa vähemmän kuin vuoden 2025 varsinaisessa talousarviossa. STM:n hallinnonalan määrärahat eivät sisällä hyvinvointialueiden rahoitusta, joka kuuluu valtiovarainministeriön pääluokkaan.

Hallitusohjelma painottaa sosiaali- ja terveysalan koulutuksen sisältöjen ja toteutuksen kehittämistä vastaamaan työelämän osaamistarpeisiin.
