Location of offices

The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health has offices in two different locations, Meritullinkatu 8 in Helsinki and in Tampere.

The ministers and their staff, the management, Administration and Planning Department, Insurance Department, Department for Promotion of Welfare and Health, Department for Communities and Functional Capacity, Department for Clients and Services in Healthcare and Social Welfare and Department for Work and Gender Equality work at Meritullinkatu 8. The International Affairs Unit and Communications Unit also work at Meritullinkatu.

The Department for Work and Gender Equality (TTO) is located in Tampere.

Accessibility

The main entrance in Meritullinkatu 8 is accessible to all visitors. The meetings centre can be accessed barrier-free. There is an accessible toilet in the lobby. The Tax Administration's service point in Tampere has barrier-free access from the front entrance of Building B. The door has an accessibility push button. An accessible toilet is located on the 1st floor and on the 3rd floor, where the premises of the Government/Ministry of Social Affairs and Health are situated. There are two disabled parking spaces on the street level in front of Building A. Building B has wheelchair accessible lifts.
