27.11.2023 | The EU employment and social affairs ministers will meet in Brussels on 27–28 November to discuss, among other things, the European disability card. Other topics on the agenda include green collective bargaining, the EU action plan against racism, and social investment. Minister of Social Affairs and Health Kaisa Juuso will represent Finland at the meeting.

20.12.2022 | Low-income households will be compensated for the sharp rise in the heating prices by raising the amount of the expenditure norm of the heating category for the general housing allowance and the expenditure norm of the maintenance category for single-family houses by 57 per cent in 2023. A corresponding increase will also be made to the amount of the housing allowance for pensioners.

7.1.2022 | The amount of reimbursement will be raised from the current EUR 10 to EUR 16. The temporary provision will enter into force on 10 January 2022 and it will remain in force until 30 June 2022.
