23.9.2019 | Social- och hälsovårdsminister Aino-Kaisa Pekonen och Japans ambassadör i Finland Takashi Murata undertecknade en överenskommelse om social trygghet mellan Finland och Japan den 23 september i Helsingfors.

25.11.2021 | Överenskommelsen om social trygghet träder i kraft den 1 februari 2022. Notväxlingen mellan utvecklings- och utrikeshandelsminister Ville Skinnari och Finlands ambassadör i Japan Takashi Murata om ikraftträdandet av överenskommelsen gick av stapeln den 25 november.   När överenskommelsen träder i kraft behöver arbetstagare som arbetat i endera avtalsstaten inte längre betala dubbla pensions- och arbetslöshetsförsäkringsavgifter.

19.11.2020 | Statsrådet beslutade den 19 november att inreserestriktionerna fortsätter fram till den 13 december 2020. Epidemiens accelerationsfas fortsätter och skillnaderna i epidemiläget mellan Finland och det övriga Europa är stora. Det är således inte motiverat att lätta på begränsningarna innan de kompenserande åtgärder som är under beredning finns att tillgå i tillräcklig utsträckning.

7.1.2021 | Statsrådet beslutade den 7 januari att inreserestriktionerna fortsätter fram till den 9 februari 2021. Coronaepidemin fortsätter att tillta tydligt världen över, och i de flesta länder ökar antalet smittfall kraftigare än i Finland. Det är således inte motiverat att lätta på begränsningarna innan de kompenserande åtgärder som är under beredning finns att tillgå i tillräcklig utsträckning.

25.11.2021 | The social security agreement between Finland and Japan will enter into force on 1 February 2022. Ville Skinnari, Minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, and Takashi Murata, Japan’s Ambassador to Finland, exchanged notes on 25 November to bring the bilateral agreement into force. When the agreement enters into force, workers posted to a Contracting State will avoid double pension and unemployment insurance contributions.
