Toisiolaki mahdollistaa sosiaali- ja terveystietojen tietoturvallisen käytön.

Toteutetaan pääministeri Petteri Orpon hallitusohjelmakirjaukset apteekkitalouden kokonaisuudistuksesta. Uudistuksella tavoitellaan 30 miljoonan euron vuosittaisia säästöjä julkiseen talouteen.

Hanke jatkaa pitkäjänteistä lääkeasioiden kehittämistä. Esityksen tavoitteena toteuttaa pääministeri Orpon hallitusohjelmakirjausta lääkehuollon avohoidon ja laitoshoidon lääkkeiden käyttöönottoon liittyvien arviointiprosessien ja -kriteereiden uudistamisesta siten, että ne olisivat yhtenäiset lääkkeen annostelumuodosta riippumatta.

Sosiaali- ja terveystietojen toissijaisesta käytöstä annettua lakia (toisiolaki, 552/2019) korjataan hallitusohjelman mukaisesti.

19.5.2026 | Sosiaali- ja terveysministeri Wille Rydman osallistui 19. toukokuuta WHO:n yleiskokouksessa sivutapahtumaan, jonka teemana oli sotaa käyvän Ukrainan terveydenhuollon tukeminen ja potilaiden evakuointia sotakentältä koskevan mallin esittely.

Biopankkilakia ehdotetaan muutettavaksi vastaamaan vaatimuksia, jotka johtuvat EU:n yleisestä tietosuoja-asetuksesta. Lisäksi biopankkilakiin tehtäisiin muusta lainsäädännöstä, kuten sote-sääntelystä, aiheutuvat tekniset muutokset. Laajasta biopankkilain kokonaisuudistus on esityksen valmistelun yhteydessä luovuttu.

Lääkehoidon ohjauksella halutaan varmistaa järkevän lääkehoidon toteutuminen koko maassa. Sosiaali- ja terveysministeriö ohjaa ja kehittää kokonaisuutta yhdessä hyvinvointialueiden ja useiden eri toimijoiden kanssa.
