New brochure on health care in Finland has been published
The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health has published a new brochure on Finnish health care. The brochure depicts the current status of the Finnish health care system: how it is organised, funded and supervised.
The brochure also tells of the Finnish population's state of health, the different kinds of social and health care services and health promotion. There is a separate section for patient rights and health care legislation.
The penultimate section of the brochure looks towards the future. Reforming the structure and content of social welfare and health care services is one of society's most important goals in the coming years. Reforms are needed so that citizens continue to have access to high quality services, regardless of where they live.
