Coronavirus in Finland: Restrictive measures are lifted gradually

The state of emergency declared over the COVID-19 epidemic was lifted on 16 June. The population will be protected and the functioning of society safeguarded under legislation that applies in normal conditions.

The Government decided on Monday 15 June that the use of powers under the Emergency Powers Act would end. The gradual lifting of restrictions was started earlier.

In the coronavirus situation, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health issues the official instructions concerning healthcare and social welfare to municipalities, hospital districts, Regional State Administrative Agencies and other relevant parties.
