Coronavirus prevention in Finland - A state of emergency in Finland

The Government has announced that there is a state of emergency in the country as a result of the coronavirus outbreak. The aim is to protect the population and to safeguard the functioning of society and the economy.

In the coronavirus situation, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health issues the official instructions concerning healthcare and social welfare to municipalities, hospital districts, Regional State Administrative Agencies and other relevant parties. Information about the coronavirus produced by different Government ministries is available on the Government website.

Information points have been opened at passenger ports and commercial airports to advice travellers arriving in Finland.
