Government supports extending European Disability Card scheme to third-country nationals

The Government supports the Commission’s proposal to extend the scope of the proposal for a Directive establishing the European Disability Card and the European Parking Card for persons with disabilities to include third-country nationals who are legally residing in the territory of an EU Member State. Today, the Government submitted a Union communication on the matter to Parliament.
Act on Legal Recognition of Gender enters into force on 3 April 2023

Transgender legislation will be reformed. The legal recognition of gender will be separated from medical examinations and treatments. The Act on Legal Recognition of Gender will enter into force on 3 April 2023. At the same time, the Act on Legal Recognition of the Gender of Transsexuals will be repealed.
Progress made with the Government Action Plan for Gender Equality as planned

The Government's cross-sectoral working group on gender equality has assessed the progress of the action plan and prepared a final report. The final report concludes that a large number of the measures in the gender equality action plan were achieved, despite the crises that shook the world. The Government discussed the progress of the Action Plan for Gender Equality in its evening session on 22 February.
