New Permanent Secretary from 2007

President Tarja Halonen has appointed the MSAH Director General Kari Välimäki as the next Permanent Secretary of the ministry for five years from the beginning of next year. Kari Väimäki, BA, has extensive experience of the MSAH and of international and EU politics. He has worked for the MSAH since 1979, and since 1995 has headed the ministry’s Finance and Planning Department.
