New four-yearly goals plan for social affairs and health
The MSAH’s social welfare and healthcare objectives for 2004-2007, issued in line with the four-yearly catalogue of aims and actions concerning Finnish social policy.
The latest programme addresses rising challenges facing the, and take into account the two major reform programmes being conducted to revamp the health and the social service sectors. It was adopted by the government in December.
In line with current concerns, a special point of emphasis in the new programme is the situation of Finland’s 446 municipalities, and ways to support their delivery of health and social services. This is also a strong feature of the development projects concerning the health and social service sectors, which are resulting in increased funding to promote improved service availability and organization.
