Minister Risikko visits Oslo
Ministers and politicians responsible for health affairs and experts in health from 53 countries meet in Oslo on 1 to 2 April to discuss the effects of the ongoing economic crisis on the health situation in Europe. The meeting seeks means to respond to the crisis, to promote health and to reduce poverty and inequality.
Finland is represented by the Minister of Health and Social Services, Paula Risikko. She'll attend the second panel of session 1. In addition, Minister Risikko will have bilateral discussions with the Norwegian Minister of Health and Care Services Bjarne Håkon Hanssen.
The high-level meeting Health in times of global economic crisis: implications for the WHO European Region is organised by the World Health Organization's Regional Office for Europe together with the Norwegian Ministry of Health and Care Services and Directorate of Health.
