Exercise reveals action needed to prepare for flu pandemic

The general view is that Finland is on the right track in preparing for the pandemic and in considering it not only from the point of view of health but in terms of the whole functioning of government.

At EU level, the exercise highlighted the need for coordinated approaches in logistics and between different sectors. This concerns policy on vaccine stockpiles at European level, the issue of technical support for communications, and the need for coordination between different services.
