Evaluator Tuija Brax has completed her interim report on the role of non-profit organisations in the new model for health and social services and regional government.
The interim report assesses the prospects of non-profit organisations and of other third sector operators. It surveys the impacts of the future health and social services reform from the organisations' perspective.
The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health appointed Tuija Brax for this evaluation duty in February. The tasks of Ms Brax include assessing the following:
- What operating opportunities will there be for non-profit organisations regarding the promotion of wellbeing and health?
- What criteria will be used to define the activities of such non-profit organisations that have connections to promotion of wellbeing and health as well as to provision of services? How can resources be secured for these organisations?
- What opportunities will there be for non-profit organisations to operate as partners of private or public service providers− or of other non-profit stakeholders − in the field of health and social services?
A final report will be completed by the end of June 2018.
