The grant programme Fixing functional capacity has as its target group persons of working-age whose functional capacity has deteriorated or is in danger of deteriorating.
The grant programme NGO 2.0: joining the change aims to reinforce the role and networks of NGOs as part of the health, social services and regional government reform and in order to support the work in counties and municipalities for the promotion of health and social wellbeing. It also aims to facilitate people’s equal opportunities to participate and act as part of the modern information society.
Programme funding and allocation
The grant programmes are funded from the gaming revenue of the Finnish Slot Machine Association which were not allocated before the Finnish Slot Machine Association, Veikkaus Oy and Fintoto merged into one company at the turn of the year.
The grant programmes will be in operation between 2017 and 2020. This year, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health will allocate EUR 5.1 million to the programmes. In total it will allocate around EUR 37 million to grant programmes celebrating the centenary.
The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health decided which projects will receive funding based on a proposal of the Funding Centre for Social Welfare and Health Organisations STEA. A total of 388 applications were submitted, and 70 applications were successful.
