Minister Rehula meets Vice-President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis
Minister of Family Affairs and Social Services Juha Rehula will meet Vice-President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis in Helsinki on Thursday, 26 May.
During his two-day visit in Finland, Vice-President Dombrovskis will discuss the economic situation and structural reforms in the EU and Finland. In the Commission, Dombrovskis is responsible for the euro and social dialogue. Minister Rehula and Vice-President Dombrovskis will discuss, among other things, the structural reform under way in Finland's system of health and social services.
The ongoing reform is a comprehensive one that will have a substantial effect on the sustainability of Finland's public finances. The European Commission has given country-specific recommendations for Finland for the years 2016 and 2017. The recommendations propose a timely adoption and implementation of the structural reform aiming at better cost-effectiveness in health and social services.
Dombrovskis will also meet Minister of Finance Alexander Stubb and Members of Parliament.
