Ministry of Social Affairs and Health to organise an information session on the Decree on the Rights of Access to Client Data in Healthcare and Social Welfare and the application guide
The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, together with the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare, will organise an information session on the content of the Decree on the Rights of Access to Client Data in Healthcare and Social Welfare and the related application guide on 19 December 2022 at 13.00–15.00.
The event will be held online using Teams. Participants are not required to register for the event in advance.

In addition, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health in cooperation with the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare has drawn up a guide on the application of the Decree to support its implementation. The application guide is scheduled to be published in December 2022.
What is the Decree on the Rights of Access to Client Data in Healthcare and Social Welfare?
In September, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health issued a decree laying down provisions on the right of healthcare and social welfare professionals to access client data. The Decree will enter into force on 30 June 2023.
