Health technology and digitalisation in healthcare to be discussed at the HIMMS & Health 2.0 event
HIMSS & Health 2.0 European Conference is the foremost event in digital healthcare in Europe and will be held in Finland for the first time on 11-13 June 2019. The event will bring together the most progressive innovations in digital healthcare, businesses in the sector, experts, decision-makers and start-ups.
The main themes of the conference are the integration of healthcare and social welfare, home care issues, promotion of data mobility in a safe, ethical and efficient way, the use of artificial intelligence and the challenges and opportunities of open innovation.
The stage programme will be an impressive cross-section of Finland’s innovative healthcare expertise, which is among the best in the world. Finnish healthcare companies and operators in the sector will have a strong presence at the conference’s largest country-specific stand, the Finland Pavilion, and its programme point. There will be dozens of top experts in medicine, technology and digitalisation giving lectures and taking part in panel discussions.
– Authorities will participate in the event headed by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, highlighting Finnish knowhow and promoting international cooperation. Our themes are related to the digitalisation of our national service system and to data economy. We will present Kanta services, opportunities for secondary use of health and social data, and the utilisation of health technology, artificial intelligence and robotics to support the living at home, says Liisa-Maria Voipio-Pulkki, Chief Strategy Officer from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health.
On 11 June at the conference, the National Institute for Health and Welfare will organise a side event on the secondary use of health and social data.
