Radical Health Festival brings leading health sector experts to Helsinki – The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health is a co-organiser of the international event
Radical Health Festival, Europe’s leading health sector event, will take place in Helsinki from 19 to 21 January 2026, offering an international setting for leading health sector experts to discuss how to leverage artificial intelligence and data in healthcare. The event will gather professionals, decision-makers and businesses in the field to accelerate renewal in health and social services.
Taking place for the third time, Radical Health Festival is organised by éditohealth and Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre in collaboration with the City of Helsinki and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health.
Theme in 2026: Proactive and personalised healthcare
In 2026, the main theme of Radical Health Festival is reforming healthcare services through proactive and personalised care. Such reform requires health services to be developed, with technology, artificial intelligence and data playing a key role.
Radical Health Festival offers Finland the opportunity to strengthen its position as a leader in health innovations and their development. By bringing leading international experts to Helsinki, the event creates new opportunities for collaboration and investment.
The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health in charge of the Policy for Change programme
The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health will lead the Policy for Change programme focused on boosting European competitiveness through public-private sector cooperation.
Workshops and panels will feature decision-makers and experts from across the world discussing data use, AI applications and enabling legislation. The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health will host decision-makers from more than ten countries to talk about national developments and explore collaboration opportunities. This year, the focus will be on the situation and potential collaboration in Germany.
In addition, the information and development directors of wellbeing services counties will meet at Radical Health Festival and participate in different programme sections.
Radical and bold approach to the future
Radical Health Festival is not a traditional conference but a forum for new ideas and bold experimentation. The event challenges conventional procedures and encourages innovation and development in the health and social services ecosystem.
“I hope as many Finnish professionals as possible will join us to share their experiences and network with international health and wellbeing innovators. Finland’s strong position at the cutting edge of technological transformation and integration of health and social services attracts interest in service organisers and providers, researchers and companies. That’s why the main event of Radical Health Festival will take place in Finland,” says Programme Director Päivi Sillanaukee.
“Participants will have an excellent opportunity to discuss how new technology can contribute to the shift from an illness-centred service system to a more preventive and personalised evidence-based approach. This is an opportunity not to be missed.”
