Nordic ministers for health and social affairs to meet in Tornio on 9 April 2025
The Nordic ministers for health and social affairs will meet in Tornio on Wednesday 9 April 2025. The meeting will be hosted by Finnish Minister of Social Affairs and Health Kaisa Juuso. The themes of the meeting will be cross-border cooperation on preparedness, the availability of healthcare and social welfare personnel, the potential applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare and social welfare, and AI and the rights of persons with disabilities.
The meeting is organised as part of Finland’s and Åland’s Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers.
In health and social affairs, the Finnish and Ålandic Co-Presidency draws particular attention to joint Nordic preparedness for incidents, digital transformation, the rights of persons with disabilities, social trust and the cohesion of societies.
