Niina Oresmaa appointed Director of Division of Basic Public Services, Legal Rights and Permits at Regional State Administrative Agency for Southern Finland
The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health has appointed Niina Oresmaa as Director of the Division of Basic Public Services, Legal Rights and Permits at the Regional State Administrative Agency for Southern Finland. She will take up her duties on 1 November 2024. The term of her appointment will last until 31 December 2025.
Oresmaa has worked at the Division of Basic Public Services, Legal Rights and Permits of the Regional State Administrative Agency for Southern Finland since 2017, first in specialist roles and then from the start of 2021 as Head of Unit. She also has experience of management positions in social work at the municipal level. Oresmaa holds a Master’s degree in Social Sciences.
A total of 15 candidates applied for the post.
The Division of Basic Public Services, Legal Rights and Permits is responsible for the duties laid down for it separately by law in the following fields: healthcare and social welfare, environmental healthcare, promotion and realisation of protection under the law, consumer and competition administration, and assessment of the regional availability of basic public services. The Director leads the Division of Basic Public Services, Legal Rights and Permits of the Regional State Administrative Agency and is responsible for ensuring that the activities of the Division are performed effectively and that its performance targets are achieved. The Director is subordinate to the Director General of the Agency and is also a member of the Agency’s management group.
Due to the reform of regional state administration currently under preparation, the post will be filled until the end of 2025.
