    16.4.2026 | Regeringen föreslår att lagen om stöd för hemvård och privat vård av barn ändras. Genom propositionen genomförs den så kallade norska modellen för stöd för hemvård av barn. Syftet med propositionen är att främja integrationen av kvinnor med invandrarbakgrund och deras ställning på arbetsmarknaden samt att öka barnens deltagande i småbarnspedagogik.

    25.2.2021 | A total of over 3,400 new COVID-19 cases were reported between 15 and 21 February 2021, which is clearly more than in the previous week. The incidence of new cases was 62 per 100,000 inhabitants in the whole of Finland, while in the preceding week, it was 46 per 100,000 inhabitants.

    25.11.2021 | The number of new COVID-19 cases continues to rise in Finland. Approximately 7,200 new cases were reported between 15 and 21 November. At the end of October, over 4,000 cases were reported weekly, and during the latest reporting period, between 15 and 21 November, over 7,000 cases. This is over 3,000 cases more on a weekly level. The weekly number of COVID-19 patients admitted to intensive care has nearly tripled over the past three weeks.

More than 8,000 new COVID-19 cases were reported between 22 and 28 November, which is more than 500 cases higher than in the previous week. Between 1 and 14 November the incidence of new cases was 201 per 100,000 inhabitants.

    20.1.2022 | Nearly 55,500 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Finland between 10 and 16 January, compared to more than 57,400 new cases in the previous week. The burden on inpatient specialised healthcare remains high. The burden on inpatient primary healthcare is also increasing rapidly. Vaccines provide good protection against the most serious forms of COVID-19. For this reason, it is particularly important that people aged 60 or over and those belonging to risk groups get a third dose.

  13. Ändringar i förslaget om stöd för hemvård av barn – ny remissbehandling - Social- och hälsovårdsministeriet

    17.2.2026 | Social- och hälsovårdsministeriet ber om utlåtanden om propositionen med förslag till ändring av lagen om stöd för hemvård och privat vård av barn. Enligt förslaget ska stödet för hemvård av barn kunna beviljas vårdnadshavare som bott minst 3 år i Finland. Det föreslås att man ska införa den så kallade norska modellen för hemvård av barn i enlighet med regeringsprogrammet för statsminister Petteri Orpos regering.   15. Begäran om utlåtande: Ändringar i fråga om tillståndet för detaljhandel med alkoholdrycker och egenkontrollen - Social- och hälsovårdsministeriet

    3.3.2026 | Social- och hälsovårdsministeriet begär utlåtanden om de föreslagna ändringarna i förordningarna om innehållet i ansökan om detaljhandelstillstånd för alkoholdrycker och i planen om egenkontroll samt tillståndshavares skyldigheter att rapportera till tillsynsmyndigheten. Ändringarna i förordningarna hänför sig till regeringens proposition om utvidgningen av små producenters rätt att sälja alkoholdrycker direkt till konsumenterna.   16. Statsunderstöd för utvecklande av modellerna med husläkare, egna vårdteam och yrkesutövare - Social- och hälsovårdsministeriet

    2.2.2026 | Social- och hälsovårdsministeriet utlyser statsunderstöd för 2026–2027 för utvecklande av modeller för kontinuitet i vården, dvs. modellerna med husläkare, egna vårdteam och yrkesutövare.  Statsunderstöd beviljas för sammanlagt 40 miljoner euro. Minst hälften av statsunderstöden beviljas till nya projekt för utvecklandet av yrkesutövarmodellen.

  17. Regeringen har stiftat en förordning om bekämpningen av skadeverkningarna av penningspel - Social- och hälsovårdsministeriet

    26.2.2026 | Finland får ett nytt system för penningspel. I fortsättningen innefattar åtgärderna för att förebygga och minska skadeverkningarna av penningspel en ny statsunderstödshelhet. Kostnaderna för penningspelsåtgärderna ska finansieras med statens budgetmedel i stället för Veikkaus Ab:s intäkter. Regeringen har antagit en förordning med närmare bestämmelser om förfarandena för ansökan om, utbetalningen och riktandet av statsunderstöden.

    22.7.2021 | The number of new COVID-19 cases has been increasing over the past four weeks. The total number of new cases reported between 12 and 18 July was 2,210. The number of cases per week has quadrupled and the share of positive samples has risen to 2.3 per cent since mid-June. Due to vaccination coverage, the number of serious cases requiring hospital care has not increased this summer as fast in proportion to the number of new cases as earlier during the epidemic.

    3.6.2021 | The COVID-19 situation has improved noticeably in Finland over the past week. There are, however, major regional differences in the development of the epidemic. The incidence of COVID-19 is still higher in southern and southwestern Finland and Central Ostrobothnia than in the rest of the country. The development of the epidemic has, nevertheless, slowed down in many areas.
