Research on health information technology
Finland has repeatedly ranked in the top five in several international health information technology rankings along with the other Nordic countries.
These rankings, regularly performed by the EU (European Hospital Survey 2013, Benchmarking deployment of eHealth among General Practitioners 2013) and the WHO (From Innovation to implementation - eHealth in the European WHO Region 2016) especially, focus on access to technologies regarding electronic patient records, data exchange and telemonitoring, among others.
