However, at the end of the experiment the recipients of a basic income perceived their wellbeing as being better than did those in the control group. The results are to some extent preliminary, and it is not yet possible to draw any firm conclusions regarding the effects of the basic income experiment.

  6. 25.11.2025 | Finland will publish its new national Action Plan for the Istanbul Convention on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The objective of the Istanbul Convention is to ensure that every girl and woman has a future without violence. Finland’s new action plan, covering the years 2026–2033, outlines several long-term objectives and lists altogether 37 practical measures.

  7. 20.1.2017 | Finland continues its active work in order to improve global health security. Finland is chairing the international Joint External Evaluation Alliance (JEE) until October 2018. The Alliance supports the evaluation of health security of different countries and the implementation of International Health Regulations, and promotes the related development measures. Finland is also a member of the steering group of the Global Health Security Agenda GHSA, a global cooperative forum for health security.
