  1. European Child Guarantee implemented as part of the National Child Strategy in Finland - Ministry of Social Affairs and Health

    25.4.2022 | The European Commission adopted an EU Strategy on the Rights of the Child in spring 2021, recommending that Member States introduce a European Child Guarantee. The Child Guarantee seeks to support particularly vulnerable children and their families, and to help channel investment in child wellbeing. Finland is realising the Child Guarantee as part of work related to the National Child Strategy, which has aligned with policies of the EU Strategy on the Rights of the Child from the very outset.

Vid toppmötet sammanträdde också hälsoministrar från EU-länderna och Världshälsoorganisationens medlemsländer i Europa. Ministrarna undertecknade ett gemensamt uttalande i samband med mötet.

  4. National strategy for COVID-19 testing and tracing updated to target testing and tracing more accurately - Ministry of Social Affairs and Health

    14.9.2021 | In future, COVID-19 testing will primarily focus on unvaccinated people who have been exposed to the virus and are experiencing symptoms and on vaccinated people who still continue to be at risk of serious illness from COVID-19. This is stated in the national strategy for COVID-19 testing and tracing updated by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health.

  7. Finland donated COVID-19 vaccines to Nicaragua - Ministry of Social Affairs and Health

    8.7.2022 | Finland donated around 400,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses to the people of Nicaragua. The donated doses arrived at their destination in early July. Finland is committed to international vaccine solidarity and places particular emphasis on the right of the most vulnerable people to receive COVID-19 vaccines.
